Free legal IPTV playlist: try Flix AI with public channels
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Want to try Flix AI but have no playlist yet? You can start with a free, open-source list of publicly available channels. These lists do not come from Flix AI: they are collected by open communities and contain links to streams that are publicly available on the internet. This guide shows which address to copy and how to add it.
What is a free legal IPTV list?
iptv-org (github.com/iptv-org/iptv) is an open-source, community-maintained collection of user-submitted links to publicly available TV streams. It stores no video files; it is only a list of addresses, released into the public domain (Unlicense/CC0). There is one main list for the whole world plus separate lists per country and per language.
Flix AI only plays the list you add. It does not host, sell or provide any of these channels.
Copy the list address
For publicly available channels from around the world (thousands of channels), copy this address:
https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/index.m3uThe main list is very large, so the first import takes longer. For a quicker start, use a country list, for example the United States or the United Kingdom (hundreds of channels each):
https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/countries/us.m3uhttps://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/countries/uk.m3uOther countries and languages follow the same pattern: https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/countries/<country code>.m3u and https://iptv-org.github.io/iptv/languages/<language code>.m3u.
In Spain? TDTChannels (tdtchannels.com) is an open-source list of Spanish free-to-air TV and radio channels taken from official broadcaster sources, with a programme guide included: https://www.tdtchannels.com/lists/tv.m3u8
Add it to Flix AI
- 1Sign in to your account at flixaitv.com. If you do not have one, create it for free at flixaitv.com/register.
- 2If you have no playlist yet, the Live TV page takes you straight to the add-playlist form. If you already have one, go to Profile › My Playlists › Add playlist.
- 3Choose the M3U option.
- 4Give the playlist a name (for example "Free channels") and paste the address you copied.
- 5Confirm to start the import. The first import can take a few minutes; the page opens by itself once the channels are ready.
The playlist is saved to your account. When you sign in with the same account on the Android TV, Android phone/tablet, macOS or Windows app, it is already there.
Good to know
- Geo-blocking: some channels, marked [Geo-blocked] in the list, only play from their own country.
- Links change: the links are collected by the community and some stop working over time. Re-sync the playlist in Profile › My Playlists to get the latest version.
- Your responsibility: the collection mixes official broadcaster streams with links from other sources. You are responsible for checking that watching a channel is allowed where you live.
- Flix AI only plays: Flix AI does not decide what is in the list, and the channels are not provided by Flix AI.
Frequently asked questions
- Is it legal?
- The lists only contain links to streams that are publicly available on the internet, and the projects store no video. Rules differ from country to country, so check that watching a particular channel is allowed where you live. Flix AI is only the player.
- Why do some channels not play?
- The channel may be geo-blocked, the link may no longer work, or the broadcaster may be off air at the moment. Try another channel or re-sync the playlist.
- Is there a programme guide (EPG)?
- Flix AI shows the programme guide when the list supplies one. TDTChannels includes one; for other lists it depends on the list and the channel.
- Can I add my own playlist too?
- Yes. In Profile › My Playlists you can add several playlists and delete the ones you no longer need.
Add your playlist and start watching
Creating an account is free. Add your playlist once and it is ready on all your devices.
