What is Xtream Codes and how do you add it?
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Xtream Codes is a common login system used by IPTV providers. Instead of a long playlist link you get a server address, a username and a password. The player uses these to connect to the provider and bring in live channels, movies and series in an organised way.
What you need
- Server address: for example http://provider.com:8080 (including the port number).
- Username.
- Password.
If you only have an M3U link, it usually contains username= and password= values. The http://address:port part at the beginning is the server address.
Adding Xtream Codes to Flix AI
- 1Sign in at flixaitv.com and open Live TV, or go to Profile › My Playlists › Add playlist.
- 2Choose the Xtream Codes option.
- 3Enter the server address, username and password.
- 4Confirm to start the import.
Flix AI checks the details with your provider before adding them. If something is wrong, the reason is shown above the form and what you typed is kept.
Connection errors and fixes
- Could not connect to the Xtream server or wrong details: check the port number in the server address and the upper/lower case letters in the username and password.
- Subscription expired or credentials invalid: make sure your account with the provider is active.
- A stream opens but stops shortly after: some providers allow only one connection at a time. Make sure the account is not open on another device or app.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Xtream Codes better than M3U?
- Both open the same streams. Xtream Codes usually brings a tidier movie and series catalogue, so prefer it if your provider supports it.
